Shanxi University is one of the oldest institutions of higher learning in China, boasting a comprehensive range of academic disciplines and excellent educational facilities. The university is not only included in the national construction project of world-class universities and disciplines. but also a joint-venture university co-built by the Ministry of Education of China and the People's Government of Shanxi Province. Additionally, it undertakes the task of training students under Chinese Government Scholarship program. The Chinese Government Scholarship program at Shanxi University aims to enhance academic exchanges and cooperation between Shanxi University and universities and institutions around the world, and to attract outstanding international talents.

General Conditions

1.Non-Chinese citizens, obey the laws and regulations of China;

2.None holders of other scholarships;

3.Applicants for PhD shall be under 40 years old, achieved Master degree, GPA>3.5/4, hold HSK6(180) for Chinese-taught majors or IELTS 6/TOEFL 60/DUOLINGO 110(except for applicants from English speaking countries) for English taught majors;

4.Applicants for Master degree shall be under 35 years old, achieved Bachelor degree, GPA>3.3/4, hold HSK5 (200)for Chinese-taught majors, IELTS 6/TOEFL 60/DUOLINGO 110(except for applicants from English speaking countries')for English taught majors.

Application Procedure

1.The applicant should do the registration in International Student Service System of Shanxi University and complete online application at https://sxu.at0086.cn/StuApplication/Login.aspx. (Choose Degree Program - CSC Program, filling the required information and uploading clear scanned documents and submit.

2.The applicant should do the registration in Chinese Government Scholarship Information System and complete online application at https://www.campuschina.org. (Filling the required information and uploading clear scanned documents and submit. [Category(B), agency number (10108)】

3.Application documents' authenticity, integrity and qualification will be verified by Admission Office of SIEE (School of International Education&Exchange).

4.Qualified applicants' documents will be handed over to related Departments. Departments will contact with applicants to join in the interview by Email or Wechat, to examine the language proficiency, academic background and research potential comprehensively.

5.The excellent applicants will be pre-admitted, whose name list will be reported to China Scholarship Council before 31th of March, 2025.

Application Documents

1.A copy of valid passport.
The passport should be valid for more than 1 year from the first day of school. Applicants who are or has been in China are required to provide "Visa or Residence Permit"page

2.Graduation Certificate.
If applicants are about to graduate, please provide "Statement of Expected Graduation" or "Study Certification”, then submit their graduation certificates after admission.

3.Official academic transcripts.

4.Personal Resume.

5.Two recommendation letters.
Applicants must provide 2 letters, one should be signed by their previous Institutes' professors,the other should be issued by SXU professor.

6.The Acceptance letter of Shanxi University.
Applicants have to apply for this letter by their recommendation letters provided by SXU professors.

7.Language proficiency certification.

8.Valid Proof of bank funds(at least CNY 20,000)within 6months before submission date of application
1) Applicants are required to prove the Bank statement or proof of bank funds under applicants’ account.

9.Certificate of Non-Criminal Record.
Usually issued within 6months prior to the submission date of the application.

10.Health Certificate.
Usually issued within 6months prior to the submission date of the application.

11.Personal Statement.

Note:

1.All the following documents shall be complete and clear,true,valid and color scanned.

2.Non-Chinese or Non-English documents are required for attachment of Chinese or English translation either notarized or issued by the original organization;

3.The above documents are expected to be complete or they won't be considered.

Admissions

1.The application will be reviewed in March of 2025 and applicants can login https://www.campuschina.org and check their final results later than March.

2.The final results and scholarship standards will be informed by official admission letters.Their admission documents will be send out as soon as the requirement of China Scholarship Council

3.Admitted scholars should apply for their X1 visa with valid passports and admission documents in Chinese Embassy in accordance with the registration date and requirements in admission notice.

2、未获得其他任何奖学金资助。

3、申请博士者，应具有硕士学位，40岁以下，GPA>3.5/4，中文授课学生需持有HSK六级证书(180);英文授课学生需持有雅思6/托福60/多邻国110(除英语母语国家学生外)英语等级证明。

4、申请硕士者，应具有学士学位，35岁以下,GPA>3.3/4中文授课学生需持有HSK五级证书(200);英文授课学生需持有雅思6/托福60/多邻国110(除英语母语国家学生外)英语等级证明。

申请流程

1.申请者须登录山西大学国际学生招生管理系统https://sxu.at0086.cn/StuApplication 进行网上注册。(请选择学历项目一中国政府奖学金项目，填写信息，选择专业，提交申请 材料，完成申请。)

2.申请者须登录国家留学基金委来华留学网上报名系统https://studyinchina.csc.edu.cn/#/login 进行网上注册。(填写信息，选择专业，提交申请材料，完成申请。【项目种类(B类),受理机构 编号(10108)】)

3.申请材料由山西大学国际教育交流学院招生办公室初审，审核材料是否完整、真实。

4.初审通过的申请者材料会转入培养单位复审。培养单位将通过申请者邮件联系申请人参加入学考 试，全面考察申请者的语言能力、学术背景、科研潜力等。

5.我校按照初审和复审意见择优录取，于3月31日前向国家留学基金管理委员会上报拟录取名单。

注意：
1.因申请时间有限，请关注申请系统中的消息并及时回复。
2.拟录取名单不作为最终录取结果。

注意：

录取通知

1.国家留学基金管理委员会将于当年3月开始审核学生材料，申请者可随后登陆https://www.campuschi- na.org/index.htmll (中国政府奖学金申请系统)查看最终录取状态。

2.最终录取结果与资助标准以录取通知书为准。相关录取材料会按照国家留学基金管理委员会要求尽快寄出。

3.被录取学生按照通知书的开学注册时间及报到要求，尽快持有效护照及录取材料到当地大使馆办理学习签证 。
