Qualifications

For Master Applicants:

1. Basic knowledge of law

2. Under 35 years old

3. A score report of English Language test (TOEFL or IELTS or official English test in applicants’ countries )or Chinese Language test (HSK 5)

4. Bachelor’s degree

5. GPA≥1.8

For PhD Applicants:

Good academic background of law

2. Under 45 years old

3.  A score report of English Language test (TOEFL or IELTS or official English test in applicants’ countries ) or Chinese Language test (HSK 6)

4. Master’s degree

5. GPA≥2.0

Date for Application：

March 11, 2022---April 5, 2022

Procedure for Application:

Apply for CSC scholarship （for Chinese taught）

Register and submit your online application at both CSC and our university Online Application System (http://www.csc.edu.cn/studyinchina and http://siee.sxu.edu.cn/). The code of Shanxi University is 10108.  (Choose Category B)

Apply for GSC scholarship  (for English taught)

Register and submit application at Shanxi University Online Application System (http://siee.sxu.edu.cn/). 

Required Application Documents:

Valid Passport

CV ( teaching and working experience should be shown)

Degree Certificate* and Transcript* ( original and translation in English or Chinese)

Language Certificate

Reference I & II*  ( I from Professors of applicants’ Universities, II from Professors of Shanxi University)

Study Plan* *  ( more than 1000 words, focusing on academic background and plan to study in Shanxi University )

Financial Support Certificate (3000$)

The master degree program covers six subjects, including jurisprudence, constitutional and administrative law, Environmental and Resource Protection Law, International Law, civil and commercial law, criminal law.

PhD Program

The doctoral program covers four fields, such as Jurisprudence, environment and resources protection law, civil and commercial law, Procedural law.

Please note:

1. 500RMB for Application should be payed before your interview. 

2. In addition to the above application documents, the university has the right to require the applicant to provide other materials if necessary.

3. Scholarship will not be reserved if scholarship recipients cannot register before the registration deadline stipulated on the admission notice.

4. Due to corona virus outbreaks, schools may facilitate online learning programs.
