为进一步贯彻落实中国政府“扩大规模，提高层次，完善管理，保证质量”的来华留学工作原则，吸引更多的外国留学生来我校留学，促进我校人才培养、科学研究、社会服务以及文化交流工作，山西大学特设立“山西大学来华留学生奖学金”。
一、招生类别
奖学金原则上主要用于资助申请到山西大学攻读学士学位、硕士学位、博士学位。
二、申请基本条件
申请者须为年满18周岁的持有效外国护照的非中国籍公民，身体健康，品行良好，愿意遵守中国政府的法律和学校的规章制度，尊重中国人民的风俗习惯，未获得其他各级、各类奖学金。
（1）本科：高中毕业以上学历, 年龄25岁以下中文授课专业需通过新HSK四级考试220分以上,;
（2）硕士: 本科毕业，取得学士学位证书, 年龄35岁以下申请中文授课专业需通过新HSK五级考试220分以上;
（3）博士：硕士毕业，取得硕士学位证书, 年龄45岁以下中文授课专业需要通过新HSK六级考试;英文授课专业需通过导师面试考试。
三、奖学金内容
（1）山西大学奖学金用于奖励在我校学习的优秀外国学历生。该奖学金分为全额奖学金和部分奖学金，每学年评选一次，获奖名额由学校国际教育交流学院根据实际情况确定。该奖学金具体内容如下：

（2）申请人必须如实填写和提交以下申请材料(所有材料请用中文或英文提供)：
①学历证明文件，须为中文或英文公证件复印件。
注：应届毕业生在申请时提供预计毕业证明或在学证明，被录取后须补交学历证明文件方可领取录取通知书。
②毕业院校的正式成绩单，须为中文或英文的复印件或公证件。
③个人陈述（含研究计划），硕士800字左右, 博士1500字左右,用中/英文撰写。
④两封教授或副教授（或相当职位人员）的推荐信。
⑤HSK 、雅思、托福等考试等级证书复印件。
⑥电子照片。
⑦个人简历，须为中文或英文撰写。
⑧护照复印件，护照必须是有效的普通护照。
⑨申请费（申请人在得到面试通知后交付）
以上申请材料一律不予退还。
（3）申请程序：
①在截止日期前，访问山西大学国际教育交流网站完成在线申请。
②申请者所有材料审核通过后，由国际教育交流学院组织面试考核。
③国际教育交流学院向获得入学资格的申请者寄发202表和入学通知书。
④已录取学生应持有效护照证件和相关材料向中国大使馆申请X1签证。
四、注意事项：
（1）山西大学国际教育交流学院作为校评审组办事机构，负责组织、协调和材料的审核等工作。学院对申请者的资格、申请条件进行认定后，经过评审，最终确定获奖学生名单。
（2）对已获得奖学金的学生，凡发现有弄虚作假、欺骗等行为，且调查属实的，学校将撤消其称号，追回奖学金，并予以相应纪律处分。
（3）获得奖学金的学生须按照学校规定的时间办理报到、注册及缴费手续，否则将按照自动放弃奖学金处理。在获得奖学金后不得无故办理休学、退学等学籍变动手续，否则将中止或取消奖学金。

Shanxi University Scholarship for International Students
In order to further carry out the working Principles of Study in China (to enlarge the scale; to uplift the level; improve the management; to guarantee the quality), to attract more excellent students all over the world to study in our university, to promote talent cultivation, scientific research, social service and cultural communication in our school, Shanxi University establishes the International Student Scholarship program.
Category of Application:
The scholarship is set up to sponsor the outstanding oversea students who apply for Bachelor, Master, Doctor Degrees in Shanxi University.
Application Prerequisites:
Applicants should be over the age of 18 and in good health, holding foreign nationality and valid passport. They should abide by all the Chinese laws, and regulations at Shanxi University, and also respect the Chinese customs. Applicants should not be supported simultaneously by other scholarships.
Bachelor Program: applicants under 25 years old, should have finished senior high school education, and have passed New HSK level 4(220).
Master Program: applicants under 35 years old, should have obtained the certification of Undergraduate Degree, and those who apply for Chinese lessons must have passed New HSK level 5(220) in Chinese taught.
Doctor Program: applicants under 40 years old, should have obtained the certification of Master Degree, and those who apply for Chinese taught programs must have passed New HSK level 6; apply for English taught programs must pass the test given by professors.
Content of Scholarship:
Shanxi University Scholarship is to award the excellent foreign degree students studying in our university, which includes full and partial scholarships. It is elected once for very academic year, and the number of successful applicants is decided by School of International Education and Exchange according to the actual situation. Application Documents:（all the documents are required to be completed by Chinese or English）
1. Graduation certificate and degree diploma . They must be copies of original documents or certified copies either in Chinese or English. Students graduating this year should provide expected certificates of graduation or an official letter stating expected date of graduation. The applicant must submit your academic credential certificates in order to collect your Admission Letter.
2. Official transcripts of your academic achievement of highest degree. They should include courses taken and standards achieved, must be original documents or certified copies either in Chinese or English.
3. A personal statement (800 words for master program, 1500 words for doctorate program).
4. Two recommendation letters from your referees. The referees should be professors or persons with relevant academic title. At least one of them should have knowledge of your recent academic work. The format of the recommendation letter must be origin.
5. HSK 、IELTS or TOEFL result copy.
6. Digital Photocopy.
7. Personal resume .
8. Proof of bank funds.
9. Application fee ( if you are informed to participate the interview).
* All application materials will not be returned.
Application Procedure:
a. The application can be completed online Http://siee.sxu.edu.cn before the deadline.
b. The applicant will be informed to take an interview after application documents verified.
c. The admission notice and JW 202 /JW201form will be issued to successful candidates.
d. Admission documents and a valid passport can be taken to apply for X1 or X2 visa in Chinese embassy.
Additional notes:
·As the administrative body for review group of Shanxi University, the School of International Education and Exchange is in charge of organization, coordination and verification of materials. After having affirmed and approved the applicants’ qualification, our school finally decides the list of awardees.
·Our school will cancel the title, take back the awarded money and impose the relevant disciplinary treatment on the awardees who have conducted cheating and deceiving in the process of application if it is fact after investigation.
·Applicants who do not register or pay the fees on time and who are absent or drop out from school without any reason and permission will be disqualified from Scholarship.
