The School of International Education and Exchange (SIEE) is in charge all types of international students of Shanxi University. The SIEE offers both degree and non-degree programs for overseas students. Degree programs cover all program of bachelor, master, and doctor offered in the University, while non-degree programs provide overseas students with foundation program and various Chinese language program.There are approximately 300 overseas students from 40 countries or areas in SIEE; The graduates have made important contributions to the development of their home countries.

The School of International Education houses a Chinese language education base (accredited by the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of State Council) . Nowadays more and more overseas students come to Shanxi University to study Chinese, SIEE provides good learning conditions for overseas students to engage in advanced studies.

SIEE has carried out in-depth exchange and cooperation with world renowned institutions in various aspects; it will further strengthen its cooperation with overseas educational institutions by establishing vigorous platforms for future achievements.
