Our school open a new course “Contemporary China", in which “Technological Innovation" is a crucial part for its understanding. To help international students experience the transformative impact of technological and industrial innovation on Shanxi's enterprises, the course team organized a study trip to Taiyuan Iron and Steel (Group) Co., Ltd. (TISCO) this semester. This allowed students to witness firsthand how the spirit of independent innovation has injected new vitality into Shanxi's manufacturing sector and economy.  

As part of the study trip, students were required to create a promotional video titled "I Speak for TISCO" in groups. After two weeks of meticulous preparation, the short videos produced by the students were showcased on their respective social media platforms, collecting numerous likes. This activity effectively enhanced the students' teamwork skills, observational and critical thinking abilities, and real-Chinese expression as well.

By integrating classroom learning with practical experiences, this study trip to TISCO represents a positive and effective exploration of how to tell the story of Shanxi from the perspective of international students.
